We are excited to introduce the “Fit For Footwear Series”. The Bi-monthly series will demonstrate easy ways to incorporate foot care into your daily routine via editorial and video posts. The instructional edits will explore exercises and stretches that will ensure the “forgotten body parts” (the legs and the feet) are nurtured to encourage strong lean legs and flexible feet. Exercising ankles, arches and toes is important to develop the proper balance of lower body strength and muscle control. Ensuring that the muscles have some release will help keep feet pain and injury free. Ultimately more focused lower body care will help to bring about holistic improvement in our health. An added bonus of increased lower body strength is that we will not have to diminish style options and will be able to wear the style of shoes we want for longer.
To lead us through the series, we have enlisted the expertise of Ashleigh Wilson. Ashleigh is a South African born Professional Ballet dancer, Yoga/Pilates instructor, and Personal Trainer. Alongside her career as a dancer with London Contemporary Ballet Theatre, she owns her own Holistic Personal Training business and has created the training method Ballet HIIT. You’ll also find her teaching a variety of classes around London.
Her passion lies in supporting women to achieve their goals in long-term health and lifestyle changes. She endeavours to help people become more intuitive with their bodies and aims to empower women to transform how they feel about themselves and improve their wellbeing. This, she believes, will in turn contribute to a much wider healthy and connected community.
The “Fit For Footwear Series” will incorporate elements of Ballet HIT and Foot Fitness. The programme caters for women of all ages and ability levels.
