If you love wearing high heels but your feet don’t love you after wearing them, perhaps some advice on how to remain poised and comfortable when standing in heels, for long periods of time is overdue!
Standing Suggestion Number One
Stand with your weight a little back into your heels. You will immediately feel your back lengthen upward and any discomfort in the lower back will diminish. When you stand back in your heels your posture improves immediately. You look better! Your self confidence boosts and the appearance becomes more streamlined!
Standing Suggestion Number Two
Keep your weight in your heels and add keep your toes actively moving as much as the shoes will allow. Press them down into the shoe and keep distributing your weight to different toes as you press them down. Press the outer toes, then transfer your weight to middle toes and then big toes. The more you can keep your toes activated in your shoes the less tight and sore your feet will feel later.
Standing Suggestion Number Three
Keep transferring your weight from the outer ball of the foot to the inner and back again. You can try this without being obvious -only you will know. Just making these small shifts in weight can make a real difference in your comfort level.
